Haydon Hill Paving - Driveway installation
We want you to have the best possible driveway or patio that is installed to the highest standards and survives the test of time. Below is a rough guide of a typical driveway installation.
Once the site has been excavated to the required depth any drains or run off gulleys are prepared. We then lay a Type 1 sub base in stages and compact before adding a
sharp sand layer, again compacting using a plate vibrator. We then add a permeable membrane to prevent weeds growing and then construct the block driveway from a choice of available patterns. To complete the job we use the plate vibrator three or four times to compact the whole area then brush jointing sand over the whole area to fill the joints.
